Privacy Policy
ChromaLife is a daily color journal: you pick one color that matches how you feel, optionally add a short note, and watch your year become a palette. We built it to keep your journal private. This policy explains what the app stores, where, and the choices you have.
What the app stores
- Journal entries — for each day you log: the date, the emotion you chose, its color, and your optional note (up to 120 characters).
- Settings — reminder time, whether you have seen the in-app tips, and similar preferences.
By default all of this lives only on your device. No account is required to use ChromaLife.
If you sign in (optional)
You can sign in with Apple or Google to back up your journal and continue on another phone. Sign-in is handled by Supabase, our authentication and database provider. When you sign in we receive the identifier your provider shares with us (such as an account ID, and your name and email address if you allow it). Your journal entries are then also stored in a Supabase-hosted database, protected so that only your account can read or write your own rows. We do not sell this data and we do not share it with advertisers.
You can sign out at any time; entries already on your device stay there. You can also delete your account from Settings, which removes your account and every synced entry from our servers.
Analytics
To understand which parts of the app are used, ChromaLife may send anonymous usage events (for example "entry saved" or "reminder turned on") to Amplitude. These events include a random device identifier, your app version, and platform. They never include the text of your notes. If you are signed in, events are linked to your account ID so that your usage can be understood across devices.
Notifications
The daily reminder is a local notification scheduled on your device. We do not send push notifications from a server.
Advertising and tracking
ChromaLife contains no advertising and does not track you across other companies' apps or websites.
Data retention
Data on your device remains until you delete the app or clear its data. Synced data remains until you delete your account in the app, or until you ask us to delete it.
Children
ChromaLife is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. You can export a backup and delete your account directly in the app. For anything else, email us.
Changes
If this policy changes in a meaningful way we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, let you know in the app.
